I purchased an excellent Canon A1 back in May. I recently purchased a nice Canon MA motor drive set. When I put it on the camera,it dosen`t work correctly unless I put pressure on the tip of the film advance lever. It then works as it should . I discovered this trying to manually move the winder.Has anyone ever seen this before? Is there a way to tighten or take out the small amount of play.Any ideas? More importantly ,is this a camera body or Winder problem? The Winder can be returned .Regards Thomas |

There are contacts to the motor drive, just below the film advance lever, these switch the power on/off. I would suggest that you try your camera with a winderA to see if that works it only has 2 contacts, and these use the switch below the winder. Hope this helps. |

Thanks for that tip. I`m looking for another body to test . But if I find a Winder A I`ll try that. |
