Hello to all.
I'm new to the forum and have just got hold of a Konica Auto S2 that is in great condition but appears to have the all too common stuck shutter issue.
Have searched the forum on how to clean it but am stuck at the first stage in getting the name plate off!
Also, the aperture only alters over some of its range when viewed through the rear element - could this be dirty too?

Finally, it has a foggy rangefinder - any idea on cleaning this?
Thanks in advance for all your help, Chris

Scroll down towards the end of this page, there is all you need to know. But you can also try this link:

In addition to that there is an article about the very similar K Auto 1.6 in this forum's article section by the administrator, it also is full of useful info, W.

Thanks for the link - I must be daft though because I still can't see how the front name plate comes off - is there a retaining ring in place? Sorry!

Just glancing at the repair article for the Auto S - it says use a friction tool to remove the name plate. Sometimes one of the sticky rubber or plastic jar lid removers works on camera parts. I have one cut out of flat material and shaped like a daisy, not very high tech but sticky enough to be useful. They can be found in kitchen gadget stores.
