I'm preparing to open my Yashica 124G to attack my first self-CLA job (yikes! I mean, yeah!) and I have a specific problem to solve: Recently, I have only been getting 8 or 9 images on a roll of 120. This is a new problem and it seems like a film advance problem. Two quick things to check off: I have confirmed that the pressure plate is set to 12, and I'm lining up with the 120 arrow to start the film. Seems like something simple: either the counter isn't engaging at the right time, or I am missing something in the film loading process. I've run maybe 20 rolls through it, and it's only happened on the last three. But since I'm opening it up anyway.... Thoughts or reflections on this problem? Also, any last minute advice about self-CLA? (Don't panic, this is one of several Yash TLRs; I've identified it for sacrificial lamb status based upon the film advance problem) Thanks! Brad. |
