My focusing screen has a large crack in it. I know that there are aftermarket replacements for itthat give very bright images, but these are out of my price range and about twice the cost of a replacement Va on eBay. Any idea where I can obtain a decent replacement screen? |

Rick Oleson has replacement screens that are not expensive. I got one for my Rolleiflex when the screen broke and I am very happy with it. A lot brighter than the original screen and he has a choice in models. |

Thanks for the ultra quick response, I hardly had time to make a coffee. This looks exactly what I need. Thanks again |

I got one of these from Rick & fitted it. He was very helpful & the new screen was exactly the right size - and it was really inexpensive. Highly recommended. I never thought that I would get this old lady working again. Hmmm, maybe a new suit of clothes now from Camera Leather? |

you can also get a RB67 screen, their pretty cheap right now. You'll have to sand them down a little bit, but they are way better (having a fresnel). |

I cut RB67 screens for the larger Rolleis too, but I have to pay about $75 each for the blanks. You can get a used one cheaper, of course. By "way better" I assume that you are comparing the RB67 screen to the original Rollei screen, in which case you are correct. |

yes. The screen one. I've found RB screens back home (Romania) and here (France) at prices ranging from 15 to 35 Euros. They are not always available (mostly second hand) but when they show up they are pretty cheap |
