I am going to have to source and fit a new v/f lens to an AV-1. Is this lens common with other A series cameras? I will have to take the top cover off to do the necessary work. Are there any difficulties specific to the AV-1? I have found Rick Oleson`s drawings for the removal of AE-1 and AE-1 Program tops which give me a good idea of how to proceed but any further information will be gratefully received. Peter.

Lens and frame are common parts. Once top is off, you can see the two screws that retain the frame. Unscrew and remove frame.

Glenn, thank you for your input. Now all I have to do is find a donor body. I went to a camera fair on Sunday and missed an AE1 and an AV1, both @ £5 which seems to be the right price for a u/s body. Peter.
