I posted this on the Manual Focus forum, but seeing YPF's post here too thought I'd put it here as well... If you're a Praktica lover and want anything done, I'd recommend extremely highly "Wickford Camera Repair" who I was directed to by what used to be the UK importers of Praktica, Herts Camera and Lens Services. I don't know if they'd want their address posted out, but I can give it to anyone who gives me a quick email. With my Praktica IV F they adjusted all the speeds, fixed the wind lever I'd broken in my repair attempt, replaced the plastic inserts on the wind lever and tripod mount, replaced the leatherette etc. and it looked better than new! I think it was about £40. They also more recently fixed a jammed exposure counter for free! They're also speedy, and in the south of England. |
