I just purchased a Contaflex Super (old). The aperture does not seem to be operating and is stuck wide open. Any thoughts as to how to go about repairing this?

Just responding here so you'll know you're not being ignored, but I suspect that nobody knows the answer. Contaflex supers are apparently pretty tricky to repair, and it may be that nobody has tried this. I'd keep working it, hoping that the mechanism will free up.

I do have a set of repair sketches for the Super B and BC, which may be close enough to get you there .... but I have to caution you that this is not a whole lot of fun. The aperture operating springs are mounted behind the shutter, so you have to remove the shutter from the camera to reach them. From there, I don't know if you'll have to disassemble the shutter itself or not, you'll find out when you get to that point. I'll be happy to send you the sketches if you'd care to drop an email to rick_oleson@yahoo.com
