Hello again.

If the delay between my last thread and this one seems a bit odd, it's because I had to suspend tinkering with my Nikon for a while during the schoolwork crunch following spring break. Now that that's done, though, I'd really like to get the poor camera back together!

See, while following the instructions on Rick Oleson's (fabulous; thanks again!) instructions he emailed me, I managed to screw up the lens catch, which seems to consist of a rod, spring, and button assembly. While I believe I still have all of the parts, I can't for the life of me assemble them in the right manner. Does anybody have anything I might try, or am I just missing something?

Thanks in advance,
Colin

Whoops, nevermind - an hour or so of tinkering and I seem to have figured it out :-)

Aye, you've done what I did! I didn't pay enough attention to the caveat in Rick's instructions about the button being loose, nudged it, and it flew out. As you've found, it's just a rod which goes through a spring positioned over a small hole. It's a good way of learning!
