I know that kodak retina reflex III or IV 's meter is connected to the shutter/aperture.
I wondered, what if this mechanism was broke and would lead to. And how to avoid this mechanism to be broke?
If the meter is failed, can I still use this camera?

Last question first, yes, you can still use the camera if the meter is not working. In fact, if the meter is not working I do not recommend attempting a repair unless you're just a light meter fanatic. The meter movement itself is pretty straight forward, but the coupling to the shutter is a typical German Byzantine mess.

The best way to avoid or at least postpone trouble is to not remove any parts from the front of the shutter. If the meter needs attention, you can reach the electronics by removing the top cover; if you can't fix it from there, I'd just start carrying a handheld meter.

I case of the shutter might have problems, could anyone tell me how to fix it?
