Hello,
here comes another problem again. I took my Retina iiic out yesterday, and found the when I set the focus to infinty, the image in RF does not joined. Can any brothers tell me how to adjust it?

I have read your post, but I don't have RF adjustment instructions for the IIIc - I only have them for the IIa.

I don't have a IIIc in front of me but you'd have to take off the top to access the rangefinder.

Perhaps something is hanging up the movement of the beam splitter. This is a common problem in most old cameras since the old lube tends to gum up over time. Once you loosen up the old gunk, I am almost certain it will work perfectly again. They rarely need adjustments unless someone has been fooling around with it before you got it.

I read a website page about adjusting Retina iia 's reangefinder. They are identical. So I tried and after a whole day's work ( from morning till night), I finally solved this problem.

However, the second problem comes. I want your ponion, although the problem is not worst. When I set it to infinty, the image sometimes, it does joined, but sometimes it split. Someone suggest I should do CLA on the range finder. Should I do it?

The old grease n oil is what is causing the erratic behavior. If you are inside, just use a few drops of contact cleaner or lighter fluid to free it up. Once it's cleaned it will work fine.

I see.
Yes, I dropped some lighter fluid to clean it. It works accurately again. Thank you for the advice ;-)
