If you have two MF folding cameras and one has a good body and a bad lens and the other has a bad body and a good lens, can you just take the lens & shutter off of one and put it onto the other or is there more to it than this? |

The only way to find out is to do it. I've swapped complete shutters n lenses and had great results. Just be sure to check the infinity focusing on the film plane. |

The determining factor is if they are the same model, but if not are they the same opening size on the lens flange, if not you may have to make and adapter or enlarge, whichever. And as paul says make sure the focus is right, compare with a ground glass on the film plane against the rf or viewfinder ground glass. They have to be the same . Don |
