Hi,
Having bought a Kodak 35RF camera, 1946 vintage, I am unable to discover the function of a slide control that can be set to "M" or "F" which is between the aperture setting lever and the rangefinder coupling arm cover. I have found a lot of information about this camera on the internet, but it seems that most do not have this additional lever and I can find no reference to it. Can anyone help please?

This is the sync lever for flash delay , m for m3, m2b etc and F for faster peaking flash bulbs also on some it will work as X-sync. It sounds like a Kodak Supermatic shutter, Nice little camera. Don

Thanks for the information Don. I have never been into flash photography, but as I now have an experimental film in this camera I will try a few flash shots. The camera was sold to me as only suitable for spares, but on inspection it seemed that everything was just very stiff and inoperative through lack of use. Everything freed off with some disassembly and lurication and I optimistically expect some good photographs.
Thanks again , Neil

To test that the flash sync is on correct. Rremove back and plug in and turn on flash, tension shutter and look thru back of lense opening. you chould see full frame illuminated when pushing shutter release. Don
