CONTAFLEX Synchro Compur shutter problem

I have recently acquired a very nice low use Contaflex but have the following problem:

the Synchro Compur shutter fires correctly once, after that it fails to work properly until left untensioned again for 2-3 days, after which it will work again ONCE only!

Any ideas out there?

It sounds all gummed up. A good professional cleaning will likely resolve the problem.
