Hi... I'm a newbie to the forum, and recently smitten by old folders. I have a Balda Baldix with Ennagon 75mm f3.5 in a Pronto SVS shutter, and want to remove the front inside lens... same with my Zeiss 518/16 Nettar with 75mm f4.5 with Vario shutter. The Nettar only has B-25-75-200 speeds. Before taking them apart, I want to know which direction is required to unscrew the inside lens. The front and back lens are no problem. Both require shutter cleaning. Thanks. |

I don't know the Baldix model but left hand threads are only used on cameras when there is a mechanical movement with a propensity to unscrew a normal thread. I have never seen any intermediate lens group which was left-hand threaded. There would be absolutely no point in such a design. Your unscrew direction would have to be counter-clockwise. |

Hi! You have expressed an interest in folding cameras, and I am part way through a cull. I have sundry spare cameras of this type. Would you be interested in sending me a list of 'wants'? |
