I am not familiar with the EE matic, but EE stands for electronic eye. Basically it is Konica's "auto" mode. It is shutter priority, meaning you choose the shutter speed and it selects the aperture. I do have a Konica S2 and when the aperture is set Auto (same as EE) The camera won't fire with out a battery in it. Here is a link to the manual, in two parts, in pdf form courtesy of Mike Butkus. http://www.butkus.org/chinon/konica/konica_ee-matic/konica_ee-matic.htm Hope this all helps. |

Does it shoot in manual mode (when setting an aperture). The EEmatic blocks the shutter with insufficiant light and most likely when the meter is not working. As it has a selenium meter the selenium cell might have died of old age. |
