Unscrew the ID ring (I use a piece of PVC pipe of appropriate diameter, faced with rubber or double-sided foam tape for a tool for this.... a proper size crutch tip can do it too), remove a set screw in the side and unscrew the filter-thread ring, then you can unscrew the front cell out of the lens (actually, at this point you may be able to lift the entire lens out of the barrel). From here, you should be able to unscrew the front element's retaining ring with a spanner to remove that element from the cell if required. |
