Hi, all. Occasionally (3 or 4 in a 36 roll) the bottom third of prints from this camera comes out as black, lightening to proper exposure about a third of the way up from the bottom over about half an inch (on a 7" X 5" print), the top two thirds being correctly exposed. Any advice, please? I have already spent £many on this camera. |

If the transition from black to correctly exposed is gradual (as you state) then suspect that the reflex mirror isn't raising fully, a shutter problem would (more than likely) manifest itself as a sharp transition. I'm sorry that I cannot offer any advice on repair. |

Are these flash pictures or non flash? If flash it could be shutter is too high for proper sync. If not then shutter could use service. |

Thanks both. These are non flash pictures and the trasition is gradual over about a third of an inch, i.e. counting up from the bottom of a 5" high print there is one and two thirds inches of black, a third of an inch gradual transition, and then 3" of normal exposure. The measurements are the same on every faulty print, but as I said it is an intermittent fault, about 3 or 4 prints in every 36 roll. |
