I need to clean to finder on an Akarex I. To get there, I need to remove the wind lever. My camera has the variant made of massive aluminium.
I could not find any screws that hold the lever, is there a trick of some kind?

Maybe the uppermost part you see is the screw that holds the lever on the camera. Did you try using a rubber tool to unscrew it? I keep a rubber glove in my toolbox for this purpose. |

Yes, I tried with a rubber cone. Nothing is moving, excpet that you advance the film when turning counter-clock wise.
Either the screw is very tight, or there is no screw. |

Is the wind lever on the bottom of the camera?
And the screw isn't hidden under a bit of leatherette covering?
On some cameras I have worked on, the wind-lever screw is hidden under a thin sheet-metal disc, which has to be pried out in order to see the screw. Or sometimes the metal disc is just glued on. |
