I just got a ricoh kr-5 but found out that the exposure meter needle does not move at all despite after changing to new battery...what should i do???!!!!

I don't know if you are aware of this but, for the meter to be activated, you need to pull the film advance lever away from the body. No need to wind on, just to the stage when it would start to wind is enough. If the lever is folded back to the body the meter is turned off to save the batteries from being drained.
