Hi, Newbie here. I recently aquired my grandfathers bessamatic and retina reflex. Both seem to function ok. They do need a good cla. My question is the apeture ring on the bessamatic is quite stiff not smooth like the retina is this just stiff dried up lube? Thanks, Mike |

It is actually the shutter speed ring that is stiff. |

Chances are it just needs cleaning. Those 2 cameras used the same shutter and lens system, they should feel identical. |

Yes, set sync to X, you can use the flash at all shutter speeds (1- 1/500) Source: Manual as per link http://yandr.50megs.com/vt/bm/bm10.htm |
