I saw one at the good will today for 49.00 I tried it out and seems to work ok. Is it worth 49.00? Also saw an old brownie box camera for 19.00, Pretty neat but when I looked through it all i saw was fungus. too bad. Also an argus c3. |

The old Pentax would be worth 49.00 if it was something you wanted. If you tried to sell it to a camera shop or pawn shop, they would offer you 20.00 at the most.....my opinion only!! |

Mike, it really depends on what model Pentax it is, whether it comes with a good lens (or a lens at all) and if the mechanics are up to snuff. I'm sorry you don't have more information about it here, I otherwise might be able to tell you something. |

The Brownie will have an uncoated lens so, unless you have found an alien glass-munching fungus from hell, you are unlikely to have any problems with it. Just needs a clean in all likelihood. 19 whats, I wonder? 19 GBP would be a lot, 19 US dollars rather less, 19 yen nothing at all! As Bossman says about the Pentax, if you want it, it's worth it - I occasionally pay more than I'd really want to from a charity shop as I know the money's going somewhere useful. |
