I found this camera, with film, in the wall of an old house in New Hampshire. inside this wall I found 2 things: a pistal(32 cal) with 2 fired rounds, and this camera... I don't know anything about how the camera functions, and i would hate to destroy the film....who knows whats on it. so is there anyone who can give me speciffic instructions on how to salve the film...thanks

It depends what Mamiya camera it is exactly.
If it is a 35mm camera the film has to rewound into it's canister. Normally there is a rewind lever on the left hand side (viewed from back) and on most cameras there is a button on the bottom which releases the sprocket wheel inside the camera which catches into the perforation of the film.
If it is a medium format camera the film has to be wound completely onto the taking spool before you can take it out.
Easiest would be to take the camera to the lab where you want to have the film developed and let them help you - or ask someone more experienced (friend, photographer or at a camera shop). Maybe the film solves the mystery of the two fired rounds ;-)
So don't open the camera until you are sure what you do.

I can't tell from here what you should do with the camera since I don't know which of a large number of Mamiya cameras it is. If you could tell us which one it is, that would help a lot. Model numbers are usually stamped/engraved on the camera. I wouldn't take it to a photo store or necessarily a lab, either, unless it was a professional lab. Would be interesting if the camera and gun are related in some way, since they were inside the wall.

When talking about a lab I was thinking about a real one not the One Hour Photo in some supermarket. Old fashioned as I am when talking about a camera store I have a shop in mind that is specialised in cameras (analog as well as digital) with people working there who know how to handle those things - not the consumer electronic dept. of some outlet where the sales person can tell you about a camera only what is written on the box it comes with.
Sorry when not pointing out that clearly.

Msiegel,
I knew that's what you meant, but I was a little afraid he'd take it to Ritz or something, where finding anyone who knows about old cameras (hey, it could be a Mamiya Six) would be problematic. There are still a few pro labs in our town, and one pro photo shop. But that's it. Everywhere else, you might find someone familiar with a 35mm film SLR, but even that's not so certain anymore.

I think the best lab to use would be that of the F.B.I ! Just make sure there are none of your fingerprints on the pistol or camera. But before you do this find a good lawyer. Lol.

Film can hold a latent image for quite a while. Eventually, it darkens, I'd suppose from natural background radiation, etc, but I've developed some pretty old film I misplaced with good results. The ultimate case I've run into was a roll of film in an old Kodak folder... I can't remember just which one... Anyway, I took the film to the drugstore to have it developed, and they sent the developed film back with no prints, saying it didn't work. However, when I looked at the film closely, there were very dark, somewhat fuzzy pictures of a woman in a long dress with a kid outside. Kinda cool...

I think Sauli_särkkä could be on to something, all the other member posts could be accessories after the fact..! Come to think of it I remember this episode on Quincy, the butler did it by my reckoning. Where is the OP anyway?!

While developing film found in old cameras can be an interesting subject, the story of the gun and camera found together does sound a little peculiar.
A greater danger to having unknown film developed can be winding up as a suspect in a kiddie porn investigation. Such things have happened, even with completely innocent pictures shot by grandmothers of toddlers in bathtubs.
