I just got as Sears KSX (Ricoh KR10)and cannot select speeds - It just keeps shutting at one speed regardless of what I select on the speed control. Any clues? Does anybody have a repair manual for this cameras? Thanks - Leo

Couple of possibilities: Not sure if either apply but worth the try! Check the battery(s), sounds like it's firing as if it has no power to hold shutter open. Secondly: Check to see if shutter is being cocked completly by removing bottom plate and "helping" it in the cocking process.

Thanks Bossman - I supected all along that the batteries may be the problem but did not listen to myself since the light meter needle moved OK. Guess one needs to hear somebody else to start believing himself. Worked like a charm
