I have a vintage Vitamatic II with a stuck shutter. Is it something I can fix myself or am I better off sending it to a repair centre. If so, are there any repair centres you can recommend? Thanks for any help you can give me. The camera has great sentimental value and I'd love to get it working again. |

If you really want it fixed try http://www.spts.com/spts-01.htm Those cameras almost always need the shutter cleaned or the meter messes up when the selenium cell quits. You might buy a working one cheaper than a repair cost. |

Are you sure the shutter is stuck? Sorry if I'm telling you something you already know, but remember that the Vitomatic II will not cock the shutter without film in. If you are testing without film, you must open the back and manually turn the film sprocket to cock the shutter. |

Thanks to Chiccolini and M_Currie for the help. FYI, SPTS no longer services Voigtlander. The tekkie who handled them has left the company. |
