Ok, here is the problem. No film packs for the SX-70 = no battery to test them with either. So, that flat PolaPulse battery in every filmpack is 6 volts (if I remember correctly). Can I just fill the film pack with AAA batteries and wire it to make it work properly or what? I have a couple SX-70s around here but they act like they are malfunctioning when the battery is weak. Can't tell a good camera from a bad this way. Let's see. Wire in series or parallel. How does all that go again? Will the AAAs add up to enough current as the PolaPulse battery? I'm so confused. |

I think you probably could. 4 AAA cells in series will give you 6 volts, and I think you sould have enough current... you can use the Lithium Energizers if you want more power than you can get from Alkalines. Check the polarity on one of your old film packs before it goes completely dead, to get the test battery wired in the right direction. Sounds like a good idea, maybe I should make one too. |
