I have one of these cameras and would like to get into the back of the shutter. I would have thought removing the rear lens and then the lens retaining ring would allow the base and the shutter to be separated. In this photo you can see what looks to be the shutter body retaining ring (the outer threaded cylinder with the 4 notches), but it just doesn't want to move. Is this the retaining ring, should it move? Or is it just very tight. Cheers Greg

It's been years since I have done an MG (or even a TR-3) so I'm only guessing but yes, that is the retaining ring and it will unscrew!!~ Try tapping the ring with a punch or flat screwdriver, make a scribe mark so you can watch to see if it is moving. Keep tapping...it will loosen if you hve patience.
