I'm sure this has been discussed on this forum at some point, but I couldn't find any real answers. The Shutter screen on my Minolta x700 only opens about 1/3 of the way when i hit the shutter release button at lower shutter speeds, and does not appear to open at all at the fastest speeds. Any idea what could be causing this? everything else is working great, LEDs light up, it winds well, fires and everything, the shutter curtain just isn't opening all the way. Thanks for the help. |

So at say, 1/2 second, there is a shutter curtain blocking part of the opening? Could be a variety of things but I would guess a mechanical problem. Is this a new camera to you or one you have owned for several years? |

correct. it doesn't even open halfway, only about 1/3 of the way. it is pretty new to me. im debating sending it off to garrys or something to just get a complete overhaul anyways, but if i can save $50 and fix the shutter curtain on my own relatively easily and pain free, I would like to |
