Hello ...
My father has got an old DACORRA Dignette 300L camera (also named ILFORD Sportsman 300L), but it's not working anymore.
It seems that its shutter is blocked.
So i'm looking for information (repair instructions, etc ...) on that camera.
If someone has got information, it would be glad to share them with me ...

My guess is this camera is automatic and depends on the light meter (over the lens) to power the automatic function. Since it is not shooting, the problem is almost certainly a dead meter cell. Replace that and it will work again. |

No, the meter is uncoupled and was manufactured by Bewi - also the camera is very basic, the shutter being 4 speed plus B. I do not know of any repair instructions; however, opening up the camera should not present any hidden snags. Before you open it up try rotating the sprocket spindle, in the direction of film travel, to see if this frees up the interlock/cocks the shutter. On the odd occasion I have 'freed up' cameras with similar simple mechanics by doing this. |

Thanks a lot for this trick ... i'm gonna see my father and its camera for christmas ... so may be i will be able to free it up at this time. |
