Greetings to all!
I am an amateur photographer. I recently purchased this camera, but unfortunately does not work the light meter.
Someone can tell me what are the main causes of non-operation of the light meter in this model.

Can you clarify what you mean by the meter not working? What are the actual symtoms you are seeing, or not seeing? |

LEDs for correct exposure do not light. and the camera snaps with the only mechanical time.
The camera is powered by the current, if pressing the test button to check battery life, the led lights.

The test circuit and the light meter circuit are widely independant. There is the possibility that the wiring for the test circuit is still ok whereas the wire for the light meter is off. To check the wiring at the battery compartment you have to take off the bottom plate.
Are you familiar with the Electro 35s? If anexposure is possible within a speed range of 1/30 S to 1/500 S no exposure control lamp will light on. For speeds shorter than 1/30 S the yellow lamp lights on and for required speeds faster than 1/500 S the red lamp will light on. By the way: these are small bulb lamps - no LEDs. |

Maybe worth checking what the camera is doing against this first as Reiner is right, no lamps should light if everything is OK. So maybe you are just expecting something to happen when it shouldn't.
If you think the shutter is not opening properly, open the back of the camera and look through the lens while firing the shutter. You should see it open briefly. If it doesn't open at all then you do have a problem. |

One correction, Peter: the Electros have an electro mechanical shutter. Without current supply the shutter of a GX opens and closes at 1/500 S. With power applied it opens and closes according to the applicable exposure time.
If the shutter of a GX does not open at all when fired it has a mechanical problem, f. ex. it is sticky. |

I tried to open the bottom of the camera, I can see only 2 wires.
Thanks for the clarification about the "LEDs".
Then I tried to disassemble the top, and saw that someone must have already tried to repair (cleaning?)the camera.
I try to see how much cost the repair, and if is possible.
