Hi I'm having a hard time figuring out how to disassemble Chinon CX 2 without a service manual, couldn't find any. I'have successfully removed the top and bottom part but now I'm having trouble removing self-timer lever. Does anybody knows how to remove this lever? All Pentax cameras I own have a plate covering the screw, but it looks like Chinon doesn't have any, am I wrong? Thanks |

The timer handle is held in with a single screw, the top of which has two small holes. If you take a couple of tooth picks and rotate the screw head to the left, it will loosen and unscrew, the arm will come off. FYI to remove the rear door you must peal back the leatherette (a little) along the edge of the hinge, front side, to reveal 4 screws, remove these to remove the door adn hinge in one. |

I'm a bit late late on this one, but thanks for the reply. However my timer handle doesn't have two holes. I forgot to mention that I have a black edition ( http://www.butkus.org/chinon/ebay/chinon_cxii.htm ) and it has a different handle than the chrome edition. |
