Does anybody know how to remove the Reomar backlens on the Prontormat-S shutter of a Kodak Retina Automatic 1 ? Just want to remove it to clean the stuck diaphragma blades. I got this far (see photo) and even loosened the 4 screws on the lensplate but to no avail. Is something like a copper flexiclamp needed ? |

In the Retinettes, which use similar shutters, the rear lens is held in by a threaded retainer ring. Use a fiction tool, a rubber bung or similar to unscrew the ring. If this is unsuccessful, you can use a dremel or a file to cut two notches in the edge of the ring and use a lens spanner to unscrew the ring. Good luck, Chris |

Succeeded ! Used a small rubber doorstopper from a DIY store. Thanks again Chris.
