Posted on Wednesday, July 28, 2010 - 01:09 pm:        I'm a noob who just purchased a cheap canon QL 17 on ebay. Of course, it has fungus on the front element (don't on any other elements. Is there any way to remove the front lens without disassembling the entire lens assembly? There appear to be a spanner ring on the front. Turn clockwise? counter clockwise? Posted on Tuesday, August 03, 2010 - 08:25 am:        The inner element should come off clockwise. Be careful and protect the front element with some tape and cardboard. Otherwise it should be easy to clean only the front element. For the repair manual see the 'Instruction Manuals' section in the header on the top of this page.
