I've got a Canon FD 55mm f/1.2 that has some fungus behind the rear element. The rear element looks like it might just screw out. Although it looks to be glued in place. Any idea if I'm on the right track? Any suggestions for a solvent for the glue?
you mean slovent for the glue .You can using acetone.Acetone can found in nail polish remover solution . Just a few drops or using painting brush on the glued place.Waitng half day to one day can be removed.Becareful Acetone drop on the lens it may be damaged the coating and should be open the windows . Furthermore here has websit how to CUSTOM FD MOUNT to EOS MOUNT in chinese however has photo showing steps .I hope can help you in dissamble http://www.bigeye.url.tw/big5/d_ca55_12.htm Please forgive my pool English.
