Hi all, I'm new here, my name is Andrea and I'm an Italian guy. I hare received an Agfa Silette but I think there is some problems. With the back open and shutter in B pose, if I try to focus I see that the image is all in focus, both infinite and 1m. I think that focus ring and helicoid are decoupled. What can I do to try to repair that camera? Thanks to all. |

Are you looking directly through the film gate at the back of the lens? If so everything will always look in focus. You need to put a piece of ground glass over the film gate to see any If the focusing ring turns smoothly and the front lens is turning also it is OK. |

Unless your tape is milky white (google 3M magic document tape) you won't see out of focus image - your eyes will compensate as far as they can when looking through the lens. Take some paper for wrapping sandwiches (semi transparent one, thin) and try again - you will see the effect. Marek |
