I bought an Agfa Billy record III. The rangefinder dial is stuck. I can´t manage to open the top plate of the camera. it doesn´t have the screws that other folder agfa cameras(like isollete) has. Anyone have any idea how to open it? thanks |

I removed the top cover once. Have a look at my set about that on Flickr : http://www.flickr.com/photos/29504544@N08/sets/72157620236720442/with/3651486416/ Good Luck ! |

Hallo Hans, what an excellent documentation. Could you kindly give me a brand name for the grease you were using for the lens thread? I have 2 Isolettes which suffer from the usual stuck focusing. Being in Austria there is a chance I can buy the product here as well. Thanks in advance Martin |

Hello Martin, Which grease i use depends a bit on how much play the frontlens has in the thread. Generally i use LiquiMoly LM47 "Langzeitfett" ballbearing grease (MoS2 based). This is sold in a local automotive shop. When there is much play however i use a Lithium based ballbearing grease from the company Eurol. This is sold in a local bicycle shop. |
