Hello, I have two Minolta Hi-Matic 9 camera that need shutter speeds adjusted. One is too slow fast on the slow speeds only, and the B setting does not work (or rather, works at 1s and doesn't stay open). The other camera has fast speeds that are too fast and the 1/30s setting works but is a stop fast (operates at approx 1/60s). I assume this is due to improper tensioning of the slow and fast speed governors in each respective case. Can anyone explain how to adjust these speeds, preferably with pictures. Thanks very much!!!! |

It has been a while since I worked on one of these but I seem to recall that the shutter not staying open on the B setting is caused by a weak spring. There is a repair manual available online but I cannot remember the URL. Try googling "repair himatic 9" or "himatic 9 repair" and that should get you some helpful information. Good Luck |

Thanks! I have the repair manual, but it doesn't provide any information on the shutter, unfortunately. |
