I recently got an Olympus 35 RC. I was told the rangefinder focusing might need to be adjusted. There should be a small screw that serve this purpose. Where is this screw located? How can I verify that it is working properly and eventually adjust it? Thanks |

What is the problem-- ? do the images coincide at infinity? Are they aligned vertically? -two different problems... Does the camera take sharp photos at f2.8 at infinity? i.e. is the lens collimated accurately. ? horizontal mis-alignment is easy- through the hole after the screw in the film plane is removed... vertical mis-alignment requires top removal. |

Looking more carefully, I can tell it is mis-aligned at infinity, horizontally. It goes slightly over. It is barely noticeable. I still have to get back the first roll that I shot. I hope the pictures will look on focus. I still have to locate the screw for horizontal alignment. I understand I have to remove the screw in the film plane and adjust though the hole. Which screw exactly? How do I proceed to the adjustment? Thanks Olympfix, I will apreciate any additional help. |

Use a torch through the screw hole and you'll see it -there's only one, and it's fairly obvious -use a small flat bladed screwdriver. But only adjust after you've confirmed infinity focus on the lens. |

It is very clear now. I understood from where to access the horizontal RF adjustment. I am glad I can now enjoy my Olympus RC. Thank you both. |
