Hi, I have a couple of Lynx 14s in need of various repairs ,but they both have the one problem thay has me stumped at the moment, that is the two studs inside the shutter assembly that hold the front of the lens from turning. One stud protrudes thru the self timer from the base plate, the other appears to have been sweated/ soldered on the top plate of what i think(?) is the slow speed escapement.I have seen this on Konica auto s2, as well as other cameras with similar shutters. Is this unfixable, or could the broken studs be replaceable? I thought if small enough taps were available, they could be screwed in using a screw (with head removed), as a donor.Does anyone know of a way past this, I,d like to ressurect these cameras if possible, thanks in advance for any input, Steve |

If there is not too much load on the parts, and there is still a tight fit at the attachment point, a strong epoxy, like JB weld, may work. |

Thanks ,Hovaness and Monopix ,for the replies. I dont think epoxy would be practical(the studs are only about 1mm thick),Monopix can you steer me toward a supplier of small taps. I can see me tormenting myself in the future and trying to resurrect these cameras, Steve |
