just got a Konica IIIM, very nice camera except that the vertical alignment is a bit off. i screwed out the tiny metal cap beside the VF on the back, but the little screw inside can only adjust the horizontal alignment. anybody has a hint? thanks in advice. |

I'd also like to know. I have a Konica IIIA with the same problem. |

I just found the screw that adjusts my Konica's vertical alignment. Under the accessory shoe plate there is a hole through which you can access the tiny screw at adjusts vertical. |

Unscrew the stop post at the back of the accessory shoe (the side of the shoe nearest the lens). Use a small screwdriver to probe around the back of the plate and try to slide the plate toward you (toward the back of the camera, away from the lens). It shouldn't be too hard to get it off. I may be able to post some pictures tomorrow night. Rob |

Here are some photos showing how to get to the vertical adjustment on the rangefinder.

many thanks!! the shoe of IIIM is a bit different, it is a hotshoe so instaed of a screw, there is a little brass contact, that's why i didn't dare do anything with consulting expert. after seeing you actual pictures, i believe sliding off the metal cover is possible--It Is!! now i have to get a flash light to see what is inside! many thanks!!! |
