Hello Friends, I have not posted in a while. Looks like everyone is doing well. I have a bunch of focal plane shutter cameras I need to test. I have a very basic shutter speed tester but I need to test the curtain speeds. Whats are you all using to test speeds of the first curtain, then the center opening, then second curtain? Many Thanks, Henry |

Okay, so nobody has ideas... I have used two photodiodes and a stereo input of my soundcard to get an estimate on curtain speed, but the result was more or less a guide in terms of "about right" or "one is faster". It was about as good as using single photocell and measuring the shutter speed at different places across the film gate. Are the shutters you talk about metal or rolling fabric (leica style)? Marek |
