Jamming up is a major problem with the Periflex series. Search the archive - June 2006 Jammed Periflex. Query by Keith Roberts and the informative replies by RJ.

The above link is to R. J. Lam's web site. Try and contact him, as from memory he knows/knew of a repairer somewhere in your neck of the woods. You will also find plenty of information on Google - do not attempt a DIY repair unless you have some working knowledge of these Corfield products. Today the population of jammed Periflex bodies greatly outweighs the working population.

Please don't bin it! Even a non working Periflex is of interest, and of significant value even.

Another thought - I have got one of these Gold Stars, also jammed. I pulled down the periscope with my fingernail, tripped the shutter and it sprang back up again. After doing this a couple of times I could suddenly operate the film wind again and put a film through it. Sadly halfway through the film it jammed again and couldn't be revived. You try it at your own risk of course.

Send it to me instead of binning it.
