I got this camera from my grandfather quite a few years back, it worked fine then. I kind of forgot about it, laying in it's camerabag for maybe two years. I went to pick up a new battery, and pressing the shutter-release half-way down, the lightmeter works in the viewfinder. Upon pressing it completely down - nothing! What causes this? Thanks in advance! -Lasse |

Since it was ok before, the most probable cause for not working might be just the contacts. Make sure you dont make assumptions about failure of some component, very unlikely. Try operating the shutter release several times all the way, it might start working. If it doesn't then first thing you try shoud be cleaning contacts realated to shutter release. |

This may seem very stupid and obvious, but did you advance the film before attempting to release the shutter? |
