Something on Matt Denton's site, look at the section marked "repairs", he talks about a screw on the back which is a cover for the adjuster: http://mattdentonphoto.com/cameras/yashica_lynx_5000.html I've got a Lynx 14 which does not seem to have this screw - mine's OK fortunately but it looks fairly easy to get the top off if required. |

John, the Lynx-14 has two ports under the cold shoe for adjusting the rangefinder. You have to slide back the bottom plate on the shoe to access them. PF |

Thanks BR1078lum I did wonder whether it might be under the cold shoe but I didn't try to slide it back as mine's OK at the moment. Lets hope Railcrew has sorted his out. |

You're welcome, John. I don't have a 5000, or ever been inside one, so I can't help Railcrew on this one. PF |

I did find this on the 5000. Good showing of the stripdown of the lens/shutter mount, and an explanation on setting the rangefinder. http://pheugo.com/cameras/index.php?page=lynx5000 Hope this helps, Railcrew. PF |

just a heads up. The screw on the back of the 5000 is indeed for adjusting the rangefinder but they cover the screw with some kind of glue and it is not centered in hole so removal of the top was necessary anyway.easy fix though. |
