Thought I'd introduce myself. I've puttered at collecting for years, have worked as a freelancer, although I'm a professional violinist. I collect slr's from 1955 - 1975, Yashica TLRs, and Exaktas. Had to limit it, or it gets out of hand, as you all know. I still shoot with the following cameras: Linhof Technica 4x5, Mamiya C330, Minolta Autocord and Yashica 44 medium, and Pentax MX, Olympus OM1, and Olympus Pen FT and F in 35. All my color work is in digital, but most of my b&w is film. I do my own darkroom work. I found this forum when looking for vintage camera repairs. Hope to settle in and contribute on occasion. Like most here, I'm probably an old fart.https://kyp.hauslendale.com/classics/forum/clipart/lol.gif |

Welcome to the group, Moltogordo! I've always envied people who can make music... I'm more of a reader than a contributor in here, but it's a great group. And yes, I'm old. |

Hello Moltogordo. It has been observed that any man is as old as the woman he feels! Welcome to the Forum. |

Another old fart here, but I do believe all of us welcome the youngsters. Your selected cameras are an interesting collection. I've wanted an OM-1 since they first arrived in the shops. I sold a few in a short-lived job in a camera store. The closest I ever got was a mint OM-10 I picked up for a very nice price. Shortly after, I opened all my camera boxes and told my daughter to pick out one she might like. She needed one for her studies. I cautioned her about some bodies with dodgy light seals. Smart girl. She snagged the OM-10. A big smile, she had. (Me too ... sorda kinda I joined up some time ago, but I dare say I am a newbie myself according to post-count — but still ... welcome aboard! |
