Hi everyone, I dropped my minolta xg-m on the ground, and now it doesn't respond at all (when it's "on", it may as well be "off"). Can anyone tell me which part is most likely broken and whether it's fixable? |

I'm afraid it's toast. If anyone here could divine the specific part broken in an unseen dropped camera we would better spend our time on lotteries. |

You can always check the wiring of the battery compartment. Maybe it's just a broken soldering joint there. It should be easy enough to reach - just screw off the bottom plate. Besides that - no idea it really could be anything from your description. Sorry, not much help. |

You can drop almost anything, apart from some things in polite company, but not cameras. A workshop somewhere might be able to fix it, but it would likely be cheaper to find another one. |
