I was given this as a gift from my dad 25 years ago. It's basically in excellent condition an not used much. The shutter speed knob when turned at sometimes, makes the Asa skip as if something is not catching to hold te inner film speed secure. So when you set the film speed, then turn the shutter knob (mostly happens counterclockwise) the film speed skips, sometimes worse than others. What could this be? I definitely want to repair it. I am in Staten Island ny and am considering essex in nj with shi Kim or mark Hama in Georgia. Any pros and cons to either repairman? |

I apologize. It is an fx-3 super 2000. In its life it has probably done 60-70 rolls of film. Does this need a cla? The camera looks like its brand new. I'm a if its not broken don't fix it type of guy, but am not cheap either. Hopefully the knob can be repaired easily. So there is no one guy better than the next guy? I am in driving distance of essex, but have heard very good things about Mr. Hama. |

This is a simple fix which u can do it yourself. Yaschica fx 3 is much simpler one, see thos page on net and just dismantle the parts of speed dial and asa. http://www.suaudeau.eu/memo/rep/Yashica_FX-3.html This page is in German but u can easily translate it using bing tranalator at: http://www.bing.com/translator/ |
