Hi,

I found a battery for the Canon (New)F-1 and the shutter speeds are working properly. Aperture Priority Auto Exposure is also working properly. But when I try to use manual metering (match needle) the needle never moves. What can be causing this? Could this happen if the battery is a bit low?

Thanks,
Ismael

Try the battery check button. When the battery is low the needle does not go up very far. It should be changed when it's under F 5.6 according to the manual. Shutter is said to work accurately as long as there is enough power left to operate it.

Info only from manual no personal experience involved. I hope we're talking the same camera.
