I have a FM that when you press the shutter button the shutter will release but the button itself stays depressed. If I pull up on it it will come up and stay up.Is there a spring under the top cover that may need replacing?,when I looked at the service manual I did not see a spring.if no spring what would cause this and how to make the repair?meter works, shutter works so fix this problem and new seals should be good to go. |

Hello I think what you need to do is look to the base where the there is a small circle near the winder fits, this is the where the MD-12 winderoperates the shutter. If you remove the base and try tripping the shutter using this small circle, this may be sticking, a small amount of lighter fluid may free it up. Doug |
