Can someone tell me what this problem is caused by? About 8 frames of a roll recently run through my usually flawless OM-2n have this condition, at various parts of the roll, nearly always in the same part of the frame, and yes it extends to the sproket holes/edges of the film. Happened on my two most recent rolls. |

It's a light leak. Do your film door seals look deteriorated? |

A little...damn. I guess I have to get them replaced. How hard is it to DIY? |

The only Olympus I replaced light seals was the OM-10, very easy. I never really ran across one that's hard. The hard part is removing the old gummy black crud, lighter fluid and toothpicks cut with a wedge edge are your friends. Use care with the lighter fluid. Good luck.
