Frame spacing is done by a serrated wheel rolling on the backing paper. After that it's all gears, no way to slip. So either the camera skips whole frames, then it can be the frame counter hanging, or it's the serrated wheel slipping on backing paper. The latter can be a result of gooey grease in the gears making it hard to turn the internal frame counter, or the serrated wheel has low spring tension or blunt teeth and so it's gliding on the film backing paper. greets, Marek |
